🐾 About Palmer Grey Animal House

Palmer Grey Animal House was born out of love—in honor of my two kids, and for my niece and nephew. These lovely children, whose names should remind us of family, compassion, and hope. Our mission is simple but profound: to strengthen and support animal nonprofits across North Carolina so they can continue rescuing, healing, and giving animals a chance at a forever home. 

We’re not a shelter ourselves. Instead, we act behind the scenes—connecting generous donors, contributing funds, and rallying community support to help shelters and rescues stay open, effective, and alive with hope. 

By lifting up multiple rescues and shelters, we multiply the impact of every gift. Through each donation and every act of support, more cats, dogs, and animals receive care, safety, and a path to a loving home.

At Palmer Grey Animal House, we believe compassion begins early. Children hold a natural gift for loving and caring for animals, and when we nurture that bond, we help raise a generation grounded in kindness, responsibility, and empathy. 

We invite children to participate meaningfully in rescue—caring for fosters, helping at adoption events, socializing animals, and more. To honor their involvement, we provide each child a volunteer certification and a personalized letter verifying their hours—useful for school projects or service requirements. 

Our aim is for children and animals to support one another. Through your donations, we provide families the resources to foster or adopt safely. Every hour of service teaches lessons in patience, responsibility, and unconditional love—and every adoption or foster by a child sends ripples of hope outward.
